Editor: each sound track has a channels button next to its volume. Click it to switch between stereo (ST), mono (M), left only (L) and right only (R). Balance and reset are still in the right-click menu.
Editor: right-click a sound track to set its channels (stereo, mono, left only, right only) and balance (left or right 25, 50 or 100 %). You hear it in the preview and the export comes out the same; changed tracks show a small tag.
The "Open each file in a new window" setting is now also in the recording panel (Alt+Z > Settings), in sync with Settings > Interface.
New setting in Settings > Interface: "Open each file in a new window". When on, every photo or video you open while a Zas window is already showing opens in another window; when off (the default), it replaces the one in the open window.
Screenshots: Win+Shift+S works reliably, also with Task Manager or another admin window in front
Screenshots: alt-tabbing out of a fullscreen game now opens the normal selector instead of capturing the whole monitor
Screenshots: fixed Ctrl staying pressed after Ctrl+C (1.21.13); while open, the capture and zone recording keep all keys, Esc always closes, right click cancels
Recording: per-source channels (stereo, mono, left, right) for system sound and mic
Notifications can be clicked to open the file or its folder; tray icon opens a menu
Progress cards with cancel for export, updates, subtitles and background work
Subtitles: silence is detected before transcribing and made-up phrases ("Thank you.") are removed
Editor: Solo and Shy layers, copy/paste style, auto reframe, export queue, GPU export (Vulkan + NVENC/AMF/QSV)
Editor animations: press the stopwatch on any layer (text, rectangle, arrow, censor, camera, zoom) and every change at the playhead becomes a keyframe. Move, resize, rotate, fade, change the censor amount or the camera position over time
Keyframe diamonds on the timeline: click to jump, drag to move, Shift to select several, Delete to remove, right-click for Linear, Smooth, Ease in, Ease out or Hold. K adds a keyframe
Opacity, rotation and scale for drawings, with a rotation handle (Shift snaps to 15°)
Censoring is shown for real from the first moment you draw it, rendered by the graphics card
Mouse wheel over the video zooms the editor view (middle button or Space to pan, Ctrl+0 to fit)
Timeline panel keeps the height you set; drag its edge or a row's edge to resize; rows scroll
Recordings with the mic on its own track play and export with your voice by default
Settings screen is truly responsive, with an Interface size option (110 % by default)
Fullscreen games: Print Screen captures the game instantly without leaving it, even in exclusive fullscreen; the panel opens on the game's monitor
With a fullscreen game in front, the panel (Alt+Z) and notifications show on the game's monitor, not where the hidden mouse was left: on multi-monitor setups the panel could open on another screen
Compress with Zas: right-click a video in Explorer, or the Export button in the player: For Discord (under 20 MB), For WhatsApp, Lossless, High, Medium, Low or Minimum. Uses the graphics card and copies the result to the clipboard
Optionally copy a compressed version automatically when a recording ends or a replay is saved
Settings screen when Zas opens without a video: Interface, Record, Replay, Screenshots, Export, Shortcuts and About; scales with the window
Every shortcut is configurable, including the player and editor keys; copy frame is Ctrl+Shift+C
Choosing an area to record uses the screenshot screen and starts recording as soon as you select
Screenshots work inside fullscreen games without leaving the game, and while recording
Configurable shortcut to stop recording (the start one by default)
Numbered counters with a pointer when you drag them, like Flameshot
Censoring with pixelation or blur and an adjustable amount, in the editor and in screenshots; editor arrows match the screenshot ones
Screenshots: Print Screen (or Win+Shift+S) freezes the screen; pick an area or a window and add arrows, text, shapes, highlights, pixelation and numbered counters. Enter copies it and saves it to Pictures\Zas; pin it on top, open it in Zas or save it as PNG/JPG
Each program gets its own audio track in recordings and replays, even when it starts playing later, plus the mic on its own track
Editor: audio tracks together or separate, each with its waveform (ready instantly for Zas recordings), its program's colour, mute and volume; exporting keeps what you hear
Editor: layers above the video, front to back, with drag to reorder and an eye to hide them
Export for WhatsApp from the right-click menu
Ctrl+A selects the whole screen when choosing an area to record
